Experts Are Critical Please Donate Now!

The PUC case is going to a hearing and WE MUST HAVE EXPERTS if we have any hope of keeping chloramine out of our water. The PUC has stated that we have a 'heavy burden' but that they will listen to the experts to decide whether chloramine is safe.

The attorneys and experts have not asked for compensation in the year that we have been pursuing this case.  We have spent a couple of thousand dollars of our own money in copying, faxing, filing, mailing costs and thousands of hours of our time. The cost of copying and filing the appeal in the DEP case was $400.00 alone.  The members of this group who have tirelessly researched the issues, set up meetings and contributed many hours of their time doing mailings, getting petitions signed and staffing tables, have done so without compensation.

NOW IT IS TIME FOR YOU TO HELP.  We need to pay these experts and reimburse the filing costs or there can be no hearing.  I do not want to quote the amount we have because PAWC and DEP are watching this website.  But I will tell you that the amount we have is not enough for 3 experts at the rate they have generously quoted us.

We are 700 people strong. If every household can make a contribution no matter how small we should be able to get the 3 experts we need to testify about the adverse health effects of chloramine and its byproducts. This is our one chance to stop the chloramines.

We have put in too much effort and come too far to stop now or to put less than our full effort into this hearing. Please help.

Checks can be made out to C.I.C. (Chloramine Info Center) and mailed c/o 2612 Chestnut Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011. An account has been set up at Commerce Bank under C.I.C. and has two signators. This money will only be used for experts and litigation.

If you have any questions about the hearing, chloramines or this request for contributions, please contact me through this website or at 731-5698.
