The Chloramine Information Center
has been working tirelessly for the past 18 months
researching the issues,
speaking to consumers,
providing informational handouts,
engaging the media and
filing law suits against PAWC
in an effort to keep ammonia (chloramines) out of our drinking water.
TIME DONATED
Three attorneys have thus far donated their time and effort pro bono pursuing the legal
cases.
Volunteers have spent countless hours canvassing neighbors, researching, organizing
and attending meetings, contacting politicians and scientists to help the cause.
Experts from around the country have donated hours free or at very reduced fees
assisting us in interpreting scientific studies, pointing us to additional studies and
providing testimony.
HOWEVER
We have costs of copying (handouts and materials for the public and to send to
legislatures, media and others we seek help from), purchasing professional studies,
books and articles, filing fees, room rentals, postage for mass mailings, website
maintenance, office supplies, etc.
While the attorneys and experts have been very gracious with their time, we cannot
expect them to continue indefinitely without any compensation.
We are in the fortunate position of fighting the use of chloramines BEFORE they are
put in our water. Other states are fighting to get them taken out…a much more difficult
position to be in.
Now is the time
to put the full force of our effort
in to this issue.
Please help keep your water safe and donate now.
