Filters

BEWARE OF FILTER COMPANIES WHO CLAIM THEIR PRODUCTS TAKE OUT CHLORAMINE!

In order to make such a claim, the filter must be certified by NSF under NSF42.

EVEN then, such a certification only means
that they can REDUCE the MONOCHLORAMINE from 3.0 to less tha 0.5.

Here is the quote direct from NSF International

"Under NSF 42, a product certified for chloramine reduction must be able to reduce 3.0 ppm monochloramine to less than 0.5 ppm in the water being produced by the system.  The certification would not include reduction of any other compounds such as by-products produced through the addition of chlorine or chloramines to the water."

Before you invest in a whole-house filter or POU filter think about two things:

1. They WILL NOT protect you against the highly toxic byproducts AND

2. They are only as good as the four walls of your house....if you go on vacation,
visit relatives or friends, eat out, go to work or school, go to the mall, any social or
professional function...anywhere outside your home...you are not protected.

THE ONLY PROTECTION AGAINST CHLORAMINE AND ITS TOXIC CONSEQUENCES
IS TO BAN IT FROM USE IN OUR DRINKING WATER.
